THANK YOU, PANTONE!!! Thank you, thank you, for giving us Greenery this year! Talk about a much-needed lift! 15-0343 Greenery. What a fresh, optimistic color! Cause for celebration! A grassy green with enough lime to give it some energy and playfulness. Greenery is a straightforward, honest green that wants the best for all of us. It turns […]
When the SIXTH client told me about Marie Kondo’s book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, I knew I had to read it. I’m a believer in the deep clean. And this book has been sweeping the country, no pun intended. It’s not about cleaning, though: it’s about tidying. There’s a little woo-woo going on here — thank […]
When we first moved into this house, our twin daughters were 6 months old.
(They’re fraternal, not identical, but they go through stages of looking very, very similar. Age 6 months was one of those times; try as I might, I have no idea who this kid is.)

The party was given by Sferra – and it was tons of fun – but Timothy Paul has always been my go-to bedding store for John Robshaw. So it’s understandable that I would be thinking of Mr. Robshaw even as I cavorted among someone else’s sheets.
Oooh – racy!
Rugs are rectangular. It’s a law of nature. That said, we recognize that in recent years there has been a mini-explosion of round rugs – and adorable ones, at that. Anthropologie, of course; Urban Outfitters, Garnet Hill…we would hate to see these rugs go unloved. BOSSY COLOR APPROVES OF ROUND RUGS IN: Children’s rooms. But […]
